A New Income Stream
I am always looking to find new ways of generating an income, and in the past I have tried lots of different ways to make money, both online and offline. Some have been successful and others haven't. One thing I have learned is to give things a trial period of 3-6 months, if they don't earn you money, then drop it and move on to the next thing.
The biggest problem online is there are so many 'ways to make money' - many of these ways are legitimate, but others you will be banging your head against a brick wall for a long time so giving yourself 3-6 months to learn something new and implement it is a great way to make sure you don't wasting too much time!
The business model I am now getting involved with is training for mlm or Network Marketing. Before you switch off and think, I'm not interested in that, please read the rest of this post as there are some good ideas you can use for your existing business.
The business/ system I am about to 'work' is called 'The Renegade University' or The Renegade System, and it fits all the criteria I usually use to decide if its worth the effort promoting. The things I usually look for in a program, or system are:
- Fully Automated
- Lead Capture System
- Front end and Back end income
- Two Tiered Sales - Meaning any one you refer to the program, you earn a commission on their sales also.
- Residual Income
- Ongoing Training and Support
- In demand, and current
- Value for Money and beneficial to those who use it
- Can I do the work once and earn for a long time to come?
- System can be duplicated
If I can find a business model like this, I would definitely jump in with both feet! The bit I like the most is that I can do the work once, and then earn money from it for a long time to come. I do sell products for a one time income in some of my businesses, but I prefer to make either backend sales from the work I have done, or a residual income for many months to come.
Ok… so how does this 'system' work?
Many people frown on MLM or Network Marketing and that's fine, its not for everyone, but there are a lot of people doing it, many make a lot of money, and many dont. One thing MLM'ers lack is a good training program. I have been with several Network Marketing companies in the past who offer great training and several who dont have any training. People cant be successful without good training!
So, Renegade University is basically a training plan and system for Network Marketers who are looking to market on the Internet. It has all the training people need to build either an Internet Business, or/ and their MLM business.
Whats in it for me?
This is where this system is brilliant in my opinion. I earn:
- Initial Ebook sale - $33 commission (One time income)
- Upgrade to Pro Membership - $18 commission - Residual
- Second Tier Sales
- I capture the lead and the person is entered in my 'funnel'
- Ability to promote my MLM program to the person in the future as now I'm in contact with a paying, qualified prospect.
- Further back end sales, with my affiliate link embedded in other resources within the members office.
And whats my plan?
The whole system is based on 'attraction marketing' which is basically as it sounds… people come to you rather than you go to them. So, my plan is to position myself as an expert in the field, which I already know a lot about it and I can help and train others. Fortunately I already know about Internet Marketing and Network Marketing, so combining them together to help others do the same and earning a nice income in the process is the next logical step.
My aim is to set up:
A blog - (Already done that) www.mlmtorrent.com
Traffic Geyser or TubeMogul or similar
Accounts with 30+ video sharing sites
A MySpace page to get my video out to people. Use FriendAdder software to automate the process.
My goal is to:
Write 10 articles per week for my blog
Produce 160+ videos over the next 4-6 months 'testing period' which works out to around 10 per week, or 2 per day!
Generate backlinks to my websites by article submission's and other means
Earn a residual income of $2000 per month within 6 months!
I have already done a fair bit of research and I have hired a writer to write some content for me.
The system is fairly new, and there are a couple of people doing similar to what I am about to do, so basically, I am going to 'copy them' - I have seen a guy who is making around $1500 per month who submits videos all day long to video sharing sites, talking about his experiences and processes, and a lady who does similar who is making around $750 per month in residual income.
So, there you go… my video skills are going to be tested over the next 6 months, and I will keep you posted on a weekly basis with my progress. I am going to get everything set up over the next week and then start producing the videos either next week, or the week after.

Sounds very interesting but beyond me for the minute. Hopefully I will b looking into this kind of thing in a year or so.
I am interested in the friend adding software? Does it cost money. Is it effective? I was recently thinking about making a Myspace page for my new animal blog and then promotion through friend adding software could be perfect…
I hope to start introducing an affiliate product post every few days on my new animal blog.

Hi Ryan -
Just wanted to let you know this does work. Although I'm very familiar with the Renegade System by Ann, I use Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring. Really it's the same thing and it does work from the front end to back end.
I started out in MLM years ago (well actually working from home in a job first) and it was a HUGE struggle. Making a list of 100 people you know to solicit is really not a good idea. Especially if you're just starting out (not you personally - just generally speaking).
Both Mike and Ann really have a great system.
I met Ann once when I was with Leaders Club and I really admire what she does.
I wish you the best and know - it does work! Just take it one step at a time. Master one thing at a time and move on to the next!
Kudos!
Lisa

I use the Renegade University, Ann Sieg's The Renegade Network Marketer and Mike Dillard's Ma
gnetic sponsoring programs to attract prospects for my MLM. I make more sales with just The University beacuse so any people want to learn how to use attraction marketing for their business.
I have a lot of clients who are just traditional, small business owners who I teach the Internet Marketing skills I learned from being one of those same MLMers struggling to make it off line.
The name of my MLM company Is ACN, I've been a rep for 10 years, and we offer telecomm services in 20 countries. With the fact that Donald Trump is endorsing us, you'd think it would be an easier sell.
It wasn't because of the problem with the sales training that is taught in traditional MLM training.
More and more of us will be getting on line and using affiliate programs and even other MLM's to our monetization mix!
I learned quite a bit from this blog post.
Although I'm not familiar with Renegade University, I do think that your approach to this and other programs is smart. I like your idea of giving a program a trial period and admire the goals you've set for yourself.
Your plan for putting out so many videos encourages me to jump into viral marketing immediately.
Thanks for sharing so much.
Hi Forest,
Yes I think most of the friend adder software costs. You can find some of them here http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=myspace+friend+adder&meta=
Definitely a good idea to tie in your posts with an affiliate product if you can. Then in 6 months time you will have 60+ affiliate products tied in with your content, and many of it will be ranking in Google.
One tip I can give, is to go to http://www.cbengine.com and look for brand new release products. Try to write an article around the product as soon as it comes out. Depending on what market it is in will depend on the competition, but people often search for a new product + review in Google, so use the product name and review in your blog post somewhere and hopefully you can pinch a bit of traffic.
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the tips! Glad you are having success with the system and your own mlm. I am looking forward to getting started! I think the hardest part is for me to be consistent and to keep churning out the videos and blog posts each day!
Actually, Lisa, I really like your blog.. are you using Revolution theme? How do you find it? I am using it on my other blog http://www.mlmtorrent.com but find it fairly hard to customize. I prefer the look of Revolution to this blog, but I actually prefer how easy it is to Customize this blog.
Hi Malika,
Yes, I have heard of ACN and I know that Donald Trump endorses it. I guess its not any easier to sell though, as you said.
The training in some companies is very good. I was with Amway for a long time, and they had great training… I learned a lot! Network Marketing using the internet is actually much easier for me as I am fairly good with computers. But… many older people, or people who cant use computers or are afraid of technology will stick to the traditional methods.
Hi Flora,
Thanks for the comments! I'm glad you like the approach, like I said in one of the last comments, its the consistency that will be the hard bit, but its better to take some action than no action at all. So I will just start doing it.
I like your blog by the way… it looks like a happy looking blog and has a nice feel about it.
Some clever people have been doing videos for a couple of years and have had that section of the market all to themselves. Im looking forward to jumping in and giving them some competition
Hi Ryan - I was actually thinking how I like your look and feel of http://www.mlmtorrent.com better than mine.
I purchased my theme from http://www.premiumnewstheme.com. He has others I like as well. But he has all of it pre-customized for what I was looking for on my news site, so it fit. But I know what you mean about customization. There are still things I'd like to do to improve my blog.
I think it's cool you are looking to start out in MLM - just know (you may already) to take it easy and one step at a time. But I think with the solid reputation you've already built, you probably are way ahead of the game!
By the way - love reading your blog too! I look forward to following you around to see what else you're doing. Very impressive!
Lisa
