Scrap What I Was Saying About Blip!
Looks like I sung Blip.tv's praises a little too soon… either that or I broke their rules
As Sherman Hu said in the bottom of my comments in my blip.tv makes it easy post.
"Tip to readers: Read the TOS from the video sharing sites before publishing your "commerce-only-and-no-value-added-content" videos, that's an easy way to get your account shut down. If you track my Blip.tv account, you'll see that my 60+ videos are value-added, with soft promotions to whatever."
I didn't realise the videos I was uploading to their site were violating their terms, but it looks like they were.
I should have realised after Mark from 45n5.com said
"careful though, they booted me off with no warning for being "too commercial"
He wrote a pretty good post after Blip banned his account also! http://www.45n5.com/permalink/blip-tv-sucks.html
This is the email I received from Blip
I'm sorry, but we've removed your account from blip.tvbecause it looked to us like you were posting videos to our service that had as a primary purpose the advertisement of a particular product or service. Blip is a site for original Web shows and our Terms of Service <http://blip.tv/tos/> prohibit content that's primarily advertisement.
We're wrong about this sometimes. If you believe that your content truly has value to the blip.tv community (other than in getting them to buy something from you) please reply to this e-mail and tell us why. A real human being will review your e-mail and we'll figure out from there.
Here's the applicable section of our TOS for your reference:
"Our goal is to promote the free-flowing exchange of expression relating to members interests, activities and hobbies while maintaining high standards of respect and decency. In order to attain this goal, and in addition to the other content and/or action restrictions set forth in these Terms of Use and elsewhere on the Blip.tv website, the following content is prohibited on Blip.tv:
* Content that has as its sole or primary purpose to advertise a particular product or service that, in the sole judgment of Blip.tv, does not otherwise have redeeming value to the community.
To be honest, I'm actually not that bothered as there are plenty more video sharing sites. I will be much more careful if I decide to open up another Blip account in the future. Basically, dont promote your site or services through blip or prepare to lose your account.

yeah, blip.tv is lame. They call you "too commercial" and then smother their videos with ads on top and revenue sharing schemes there.
Plenty of other (and better) video hosting sites
If they play like that then they should ban the use of their name on their own site!!! Who on earth is going to use it and make it work on large scale.
I am steering clear. If you make a video, even just for fun you would always add your web url or a little about yourself!!
Oh I have been meaning to ask for a very quick bit of advice. I have a site newandreviewed.com which is promoting mostly clickbank products but I am just not getting any sales. Should I just keep researching keywords and adding reviews until some things start getting sales?
Hi Forest,
Re your site newandreviewed.com - it will take a long time to start getting sales. From what I could see, the site isn't very focused. Ideally, you want to choose a specific topic or niche and work hard to review all the ebooks and products within that niche.
This will create a portal or hub for people to come to when they want to read about your topic.
Rather than having a review about one topic, then another review about another topic etc and hoping that random people will buy random products, the people who come to your site may come in via Google, looking for a solution to a problem which you have an article about… they will then see a related product and may buy that product to fix their problem.
If they come in through an article about x and then see a product about y, they will not buy.
You may already know this, so forgive me if thats the case.
Fire through any other questions etc, and let me know if the above helps.
Thanks
Thanks very much,
I have been wondering what to do with it. I have some more focused sites. I guess New and Reviewed could be focused even if it's name isn't.
Any ebook Niche areas that you find to be lucrative from clickbank?
Hey Forest,
Yes, newandreviewed could become a focused site in a specific niche.
There a lots of niches in clickbank, and yes there are some lucrative ones. Auctions and making money on ebay is a good one as people want to learn how to make money on ebay etc.
The only downside to this, is the competition is fairly hot also
