- Keeping You Guys In The Loop
Doesn't time fly? It's been a few weeks since I last posted on this blog so I just wanted to bring everyone up to speed with what I've been up to.
Over the last few weeks, I've been really thinking about my businesses, what I want, my goals, dreams and how I am going to achieve them.
For the last 10 years I have had a goal of becoming a millionaire which I have been working towards ever since.
A couple of weeks ago, I realised that unless I change certain aspects of myself, then I'm not going to achieve this dream!
I invested in a couple of fairly expensive programs to educate myself further. The two programs were Eben Pagan's Guru Mastermind (which was the best thing I have ever done in my life) and the other was Ryan Deiss's WholeSale Traffic method (Based on Google Adwords), which again is fantastic.

- Google Webmaster Tools
Part 1. Getting Started
Usually webmasters are very busy people. Constant site updates, redesigns of sections/entire sites, and answering e-mails from people who can’t find big red buttons take up the majority of our time. There are always things in our “like to do” category, and I think that getting started with Google Webmaster Tools is usually one of them.
We need to move that item from the “like to do” to the “have to do” category, for many reasons. The first, and main, is that multiple people have reported their traffic going up overall after adding Google Webmaster Tools. Whether this is because you have higher visuals over 404 errors, site usability, and any of the other beautiful stuff that Google WT provides, is a moot point. It works, and once it is up you will find yourself using it a lot to keep track of your site, regardless of the stats program that you currently have. Your chosen stats program keeps a record of what your web host sees, not a record of what the search engine sees. For that reason alone Google Webmaster tools is worth installing.

- Suzie's Big Hairy Audacious Goal
Suzie Cheel, who is a good friend of mine has set herself a huge goal! Its called a BHAG - She has planned to travel all the way from Australia's Gold Coast, all the way to Vancouver, BC, Canada which is 7,757 miles, to attend Michael Losier’s Law of Attraction Certified Facilitators Program from June 5th - 8th! Now this may not sound like a HUGE GOAL but when you realise that the cost of everything is going to be around $8000, the goal gets even bigger!

Looks like I sung Blip.tv's praises a little too soon… either that or I broke their rules
As Sherman Hu said in the bottom of my comments in my blip.tv makes it easy post."Tip to readers: Read the TOS from the video sharing sites before publishing your "commerce-only-and-no-value-added-content" videos, that's an easy way to get your account shut down. If you track my Blip.tv account, you'll see that my 60+ videos are value-added, with soft promotions to whatever."
I didn't realise the videos I was uploading to their site were violating their terms, but it looks like they were.

- Boosting Traffic With The Publicity Wheel
There are many ways to increase the traffic of your website, some through untargetted popups, others through banner/link exchanges. The Publicity Wheel takes its approach from a different angle by promoting a single website (per category) at a time through its entire user community. In effect, the featured website has its banners or links displayed on all participating members' sites for several days. As you could imagine, the resultant boost in traffic could be quite considerable.
It works through a kind of ticketing system known as "publicity points", and provides some code to add to your site promoting the featured site within your category. Publicity points will be added to your account each time one of your visitors clicks on a banner on your site, forwarding them to the featured site. Each point earned is effectively one ticket (or entry) into the draw to be used at the next "spin" to select a new winner. Unlike a real lottery, however, you don't lose your points if you don't win, so you have a better chance over time of winning as you accumulate more points. Winner points are reset to zero to avoid the same sites winning each week.

- Google Algorithm Change Damages My Business
Imagine this…. You have a website that gets around 400-500 unique visitors each day, 300 of those are from Google as organic traffic, or free traffic.
Your website earns you between £500-£750 which is between $1000 and $1500 each month.
You start to get used to this type of income from your website and after 18 months of this, you feel fairly secure.
Then, one day… Google updates its Algorithm and you start to notice your traffic decreasing. Over a period of about 10 days your traffic dies to around about 100 visitors per day, with about 50 referrals from google.
This is what has just happened to one of my websites. The strange thing is that the site has 80,000 backlinks pointing to it in yahoo. The site is around about 5 years old with mature content!
There are several reasons why this could have happened…

- Tips To Help If You Feel Overwhelmed (Video)
I can remember when I first started online, there was so much information and so many things to do. Not to mention how many distractions there are on the net. I still feel overwhelmed sometimes now, especially when I think about my goals, targets and projects.
But… I take a step back, write things down and plan them out into small steps. As the old saying goes "Rome wasn't built in a day!" - So if you are feeling overwhelmed, watch this short video I made. Although I talk about Mlm and Network Marketing again, it is really for anyone who is marketing their business online.
If you can consisently take small steps each day, you will end up achieving a lot of things at the end of the year!

- A New Income Stream
I am always looking to find new ways of generating an income, and in the past I have tried lots of different ways to make money, both online and offline. Some have been successful and others haven't. One thing I have learned is to give things a trial period of 3-6 months, if they don't earn you money, then drop it and move on to the next thing.
The biggest problem online is there are so many 'ways to make money' - many of these ways are legitimate, but others you will be banging your head against a brick wall for a long time so giving yourself 3-6 months to learn something new and implement it is a great way to make sure you don't wasting too much time!

- A 12 Year Old Making Money Online!!!
I have just seen a post that michael over at retireat21.com has made. The post is titled Top 30 Bloggers Under 21. With children and teenagers growing up with the technology that many adults are only just discovering, I think bloggers, and people making money online will get younger and younger each year.
I wouldn't be surprised to see 8-10 year olds making their pocket money online in the very near future! (And that pocket money could be thousands per week!) The youngest on Michaels blog is a 12 year old!
Haven't times changed… when I was 12, I was just starting to do a paper round! Im only 30 now, but I still feel old in comparison, although I guess I have more to talk about and to share… Imagine the future of these teenagers

- Reinvest, Reinvest, Reinvest…
Most of the income I earn through my web sites, I reinvest back into my business, so as my income increases, so do my outgoings. But… at the same time, I am building my portfolio of Internet Properties.
I tend pay myself enough money to live on each month and also teach guitar part time, partly for the extra cash and partly because I enjoy meeting new people and getting out into the real world. Working full time online can be pretty lonley sometimes.
I dont tend to buy fancy things for myself and only spend my money on the necessities of life. I also reinvest most of my income back into my business for my future.
I figure the only way to build a profitable business, (for me, anyway) is to reinvest most of the income I earn, back into it. This way I am building a solid income for my future and not just throwing money up the wall on the latest fancy gizmos, clothers, cars, and holidays etc.

- A 'Must Read' Digg Experiment
I thought I would let you in on a little experiment I am currently doing so you can follow my progress. I have no idea if it is going to work, but here goes…
The Goal
The main goal is to get onto the front page of http://digg.com. The secondary goal or backup plan is to generate 20 or so good quality backlinks within articles back to the blog post and site. I have read many reports about people getting onto the front page of the social bookmarking sites and having a mass of traffic, new readers, backlinks and buzz. Search engine traffic relies on you having numerous backlinks to your site and one sure fire way of achieving this is to get on the front page of digg.com

I think I have some pretty informative things to talk about on this blog and I am talking from experience. I do make good money every month from my niche marketing and internet marketing activities and I want to share my ideas with you guys.
How did I make that much money in 2 days?
It wasn't the work I did on 4th March that earned me the money. It was all the hard work I put in building up my niche and list. I usually do a promotion to my lists every month or every 2 months and I only ever recommend good quality information. If you recommend rubbish, you will end up with an unresponsive list.

- Make Changes And Boost Your Income
Recently I have been working out how I can boost my monthly income from $10,000 per month to $20,000 per month. I'm about half way there at present and I know with a few small tweaks, I can hit that fantastic figure.
So what changes am I making?
Well, I haven't made all of the changes as yet. But I am in the process of doing so, and the few changes I have made so far are working wonders.
I have several other websites and niches and over the last year or so, I have been building opt-in lists. My lists vary in size from 500 to 10000 people and a few smaller ones. Each list is based on a sub niche. If I relate this to Internet Marketing, I would have lots of small separate lists that would include Google Adwords, Making money with clickbank, niche marketing, network marketing, social media marketing, etc….

- Blog Monetization Strategies
Matt Jones from Blogging Fingers has just released a new ebook which he is giving away. The ebook talks mainly about how to monetize a blog, so if you have your own blog and you are finding it difficult to make money from it, I highly recommend downloading Matts free guide.
Matt covers Niche blogs and FlagShip blogs, different forms of advertising, monetization strategies, wordpress plugins, when and where to place your adverts and a whole lot more.
All in all, I think Matt has done a great job explaining how to monetize your blog. There has been a lot written about this topic but this ebook deals with the various strategies in much more detail.
I personally like to wait at least 6 months before I start to monetize my sites, but then again I am fortunate enough to already own several highly profitable sites. If your blog or site is the only one you have then you need to think about earning money from it as soon as possible.
