Number 1 Method To Increase Traffic To Your Web Site

“I've built a web site for my new business idea, but I'm only getting a handful of visitors each day”.

This is the most common comment from Internet Marketers, both new to the business and experienced.

You built a wonderful web site in the hope of creating a surge of inquiries and new business, but hardly anyone comes to visit, and those that do are not staying for very long.

You’re frustrated that your web site hasn't turned into a profit center overnight, and you’re beginning to think you’ve wasted your time and money.

Do not fret. Traffic generation is hard, but is also similar to a small stone in the snow. Keep rolling and it will pick up snow.

Here are 3 tips to increase Traffic and get the snowball rolling, followed by the NUMBER ONE WAY to increase traffic and generate sales on your website.

SEO:  Unquestionably, the top way to attract traffic is to get it listed at the top of every search engine. If prospects can find your web site in the first ten on Google, Yahoo and MSN, you will be inundated with visitors.

Getting a top position in the Search engines is based on Keywords and how you use them, as well as links (both outgoing and incoming). However, the exact science of how to get a good search engine ranking remains a mystery, even to so-called “Guru’s”. If you have a highly competitive niche subject, you will need to budget between $10,000 and $30,000 per year to hire experts on SEO. Alternatively you are going to spend years and substantial amounts of money trying to discover the ‘secret’.

AND, if you do discover that secret, you will certainly be a BILLIONAIRE, as there are millions of others willing to pay for such a secret.

What we DO KNOW is there are some techniques that improve your position, including Blogging, Social Networking, Article Submission and Backlinks.

CONTENT: Thousands of online ezines and newsletters need content, and your potential visitors are always looking for ideas and information that will solve their problem. Write short articles (300-500 words) based on your Keyword Research and submit them to the ezines. Ensure there is a link from the article back to your site. This is the most common way to increase traffic with targeted visitors and should be a daily part of your website strategy. You can attract tens of thousands of visitors to your web site each week just by writing and distributing articles.

ADVERTISE: Google Ads are simple to set up, you pay only when people click on your ads, and you can set daily budget limits. They look like the easiest way to attract qualified leads to your web site. But, why aren't they the number one way to attract web site visitors? Because making Google Ads profitable is more complex than it first appears.

Few companies can justify the cost of Google Ads based on the sales generated, and many newcomers are dismayed at the lack of return on their advertising campaigns. The reason is that to make your Google Ads pay for themselves, you need to pay careful attention to keyword selection, followed by imaginative wording of your ad as well as layout and even the web page which that ad sends visitors to should be well thought out.

NUMBER ONE METHOD

If you look at the top 3 tips above, one think is repeatedly ‘popping up’.

KEYWORDS

Search Engine Optimization should in fact be called: KEYWORD OPTIMIZATION.  This is because the real KEY to TRAFFIC is proper investigation of keywords. If you analyze your keywords properly, the above three tips will be easy to implement and traffic will become AN AVALANCHE.

TIP: Instead of buying ‘lame’ ebooks on the latest ‘secrets unleashed’, invest in a good keyword-analyzing program (Keyword Elite is a good one, as is a membership to Wordtracker).

Wow, nice in depth article.

I've been on top of my niche for four years; search term "start a cleaning business" and variations of that term like "start a house a cleaning business". It was a whole lot of work the first six months, but it has been steady going for three and half years now. I just blog every week and keep current with the relevent content and pro services that I offer.

Anyone that has questions about search engine ranking (or starting a cleaning business) can contact me at my site- http://www.start-cleaning-business.com

Yes, article marketing and forum marketing works great as well. While forum marketing does not help with your place or spot on search engines, it can drive huge targeted traffic if done properly.

Those are good suggestions on traffic generation. Web 2.0, forum posting and article marketing are great ones as well. the key is consistency of effort.
It takes a lot to get a boulder moving, but once it does, there is no stopping it.

Yes, good info. Plus, if you take those keywords/phrases and include them as anchor text in incoming links you get even more benefit from your research.
