Build Your Network Marketing Opportunitys Brand Through Social Media
Build your network marketing opportunity’s brand through social media
Driving interested consumers to your network marketing opportunity has become increasingly complex with the expansion of internet marketing tools. Social media is one of the newest concepts to help drive website traffic and your bottom line. It is simply defined as branding your business through the use of online tools. With the number of social media types available, it can be challenging to select the best options for you and your business.
How big is the social media opportunity? It is estimated that over 100 million blogs exist, that Youtube.com receives 100 million hits per day and that over 200 million subscribers belong to Myspace.com! This volume of activity demonstrates the sheer power of the social media influence and the need to integrate it into your network marketing strategy. Social media promotes the connection of people with like interests by generating open dialogue in online settings.
The most common types of social media are: social networks, blogs, wikis, forums, nanocasts, webinars and podcasts. These social platforms have revolutionized the way people and businesses communicate. Your network marketing opportunity will thrive when you master these social media techniques!
Before you launch a social media marketing plan, ensure that you have developed a solid business brand. Your brand is more than your company name and logo- it’s your identity and your “good will”! Both of these are essential network marketing building blocks. To build an effective brand, you will need to ask yourself the following questions: What does your network marketing opportunity provide? What makes it unique in the market place? What is your target audience? What messages are you trying to convey? What expertise do you have that can add credibility to your business proposition? Once you have addressed these questions accurately, you will be able to develop a consistent messaging campaign to use in any social media type. A consistent message builds familiarity for your opportunity. Familiarity means credibility, and credibility means increased customers for your network marketing business.
Next, choose the social media options that you believe you can implement and keep up with. One of the most critical mistakes that a business owners make with social media, is the lack of consistent follow through (i.e. 1 blog entry per month instead of 1 per week or more causing the loss of your readers). The best place to start your social media marketing campaign is through social networking. Social networking has been described as the digital equivalent of hanging out at the mall or attending a networking function.
Your objective for social networking is to increase the visibility of your opportunity and to increase your website traffic. Start by typing in your search engine, forums for: (your type of opportunity). For example, if you are offering a service for grant writing, look up all forums that discuss or are related to this topic. Your goal in these forum discussions is to create trust, generate interest in Opt-In’s for a newsletter or E-zine (an online newsletter) and drive your own web traffic. Be creative in your communication and use sales techniques to move traffic. For the best results, create an ongoing list of all forum opportunities that match your business concept and be sure to submit regular posts.
Next, look up any online group that would have interest in your business topic. For example, www.meetup.com is a social networking outlet that provides the opportunity for people of like interests to get together. To continue with the grant example, you would want to consider sites that provide dialogue with first time home buyers, individuals looking to purchase their first business or established business owners looking to expand. Once you have established a diverse list of applicable sites (important so that you don’t get the same users on each site), sign in and set up your profiles. Networking online requires that you interact at least daily to generate a large contact list and familiarity among the other site members. Once you become familiar with social networking, begin adding each social media type until you have tried them all. Track your results over time so that you have an accurate picture of which options work best for your business opportunity. Be sure to remove the media types that are not yielding a return and increase focus on the types yielding the best results.
The rules of thumb when utilizing social media as a marketing tool are: try every option, repeat a consistent message, make revisions in your strategy as needed and maintain your efforts long term. By leveraging social media and all of its subcomponents, your visibility and website volume will increase. That increase will give your business the financial leverage that you are looking for!

That's right. With more and more corporate entities utilizing social media as a new venue to promote their products and services, it's only logical that network marketing should also tap into it.
Nice point! Having an established brand is truly essential for social networking. Unfortunately, this is where most people get it wrong:

2. They spam their network with blatant advertising
