MLM ONLINE – Info And Tips On MLM Online Business
Multi-level marketing (MLM) online, is an excellent way to build a business online, particularly because it is low-risk and you can gain entry with ease.
If you have experienced MLM style businesses in the past, and been unimpressed, it could well be the company you chose was not suited to you.
MLM online does NOT necessarily mean you need to buy thousands of highly priced vitamins/Tupperware/cosmetics and spend your life posting leaflets and listening to “supervisor calls”.
MLM is simply a name for marketing in a very personal and sociable manner, and it has been effective for many years. These are BIG businesses, with credibility; so don’t let the few bad apples get in you way.
Here are a few advantages of choosing an MLM online business:
• You have an established product which means you do not need to invest in development or manufacturing, packaging or any other aspect of ‘producing’ the product.
• The product has a reputation (obviously choose a company with a good reputation!)
• Start up costs are absolutely minimal. Generally you may need to purchase a start up kit, or a membership fee, but these are more often than not pretty low cost (under $200).
• Promotional materials, press releases and other marketing aspects have been done for you, so you do not need to hire professionals to do the writing, photography and build web sites.
• It is a FACT that if you sign up just ONE good person underneath you, they could build the business faster and better than you, yet you will receive the benefits as you earn a percentage of their earnings. So introducing people to your business (or building your downline in MLM terms) is the most profitable strategy for your MLM business.
• You receive training and support form others in the MLM business who have achieved success and have a goal to help you achieve success too. No one in the MLM business is out to make a quick buck from you. That is not how MLM works. The way to profit by MLM is to help other make money! This is particularly unique to this style of business.
Other Facts about choosing a MLM online business:
• You will work at least as hard running your business online as you would offline.
• You will be competing with many, if not thousands of people, who are selling the same as you, so you need to quick witted and ‘think out of the box’ a little to get an advantage.
• MLM is NOT a pyramid scheme. If a product is not offered and your only goal is to gain money for the signup – then that is a pyramid scheme and it is illegal! MLM has a ‘product’ on offer.
• MLM has never made anyone rich… quick. All testimonials you read about people claiming to be on the dole one week and in a mansion with a Ferrari the following week is bogus ‘hyperbole’. When choosing an UvME Business Opportunity …

At one time, I was interested joining a MLM company. In fact, I even studied a few companies. Most of them offer replicated websites, which means that I never would have my own business. After a while, my interests fainted and I turned my back to MLM.
However, I believe things are changing for the better in the MLM world. I like the idea of building leverage with a good team.

Hi Ted, Thanks for the comment. I definately agree… most MLM's online just give you replica websites, but the best thing to do is to set up your own website to promote the business, this way you are way ahead of most of the other network marketers promoting the same company.
Network Marketing in the New Millennium:
The internet has changed Multi level marketing. Well, almost that is. Because each website has the potential to be heard; not just around the block, but around the world and across the nation. The internet puts the ‘net’ into network. Now shy, introverted, stay-at-home moms, or don't like to 'sell' types should be able to network on the internet.
Sadly, it hasn't completely happened. Here’s why.
MLM companies can't totally control its sales force. As a result, over zealous reps made wild income and product claims, which resulted in government regulation. Now, due to valid legal concerns, MLM companies can’t allow associates to speak with a "unique" voice (the key to any success on the Net).
Prevented from giving reps the tools to attract new leads and/or sales on the Net; most MLM companies provided "cookie cutter" Web sites. Every associate has an identical website, except for name, telephone number, and picture.
Search engines ignore these cookie cutters websites. Their business is providing ‘unique’ relevant content. No search engine can stay in business returning 30,000 identical web sites for one MLM company. So, each rep/associate does their own thing to drive traffic to their cookie cutter.
Time for a different approach:
Let's say, you're a 47 year old female flight reservationist, who's into fitness. You've just joined healthy food MLM. You know a lot about fitness. And what you don’t know, you can study.
What you do now, is build a terrific website with a fitness related theme. Fill it with keyword focused content pages. Adapt, but do not duplicate verbatim content provided by your company. The result will be targeted free traffic from the search engines. These are your own pre-qualified leads that come to you. You don't chase them.
By over delivering quality information in response to a search engine query, you establish yourself as a sharing, generous expert.
What do you do now?
Do you ask your visitor to fill out a form for your free CD-ROM? Do you send them with a link over to your online store to see the professional athletes endorsing your product? Perhaps.
A simple invitation for the reader to contact you is also good. Your visitor may not be ready to join a Network Marketing business opportunity. They may just need information.
The internet is a beautiful tool to sort (pre-qualify) people; allowing the building of relationships, as opposed to selling. The trick is learning how to do it properly.
Very good points. Especially about having to purchase and ACTUAL product. I think the more people read up on mlm and network marketing in the future, it will become much more clearer.
It's good that you pointed out what MLM is really all about. The tag "pyramid scheme" has been associated with MLM so much, it's about time someone straightened things out for everyone's benefit.
