Blip.Tv Makes It Easy (Video)

Yesterday I was playing around with Blip.tv after watching an excellent video by Sherman Hu and I started integrating blip.tv with several of my other accounts. The process for me now is below the video.

1/ Record a video
2/ Upload it using TubeMogul or Traffic Geyser
3/ The Video then gets uploaded to Blip.tv which then distributes it to my Facebook, Flickr, iTunes, MySpace, Delicious and various other accounts and it then gets syndicated around the web.

This saves me a huge amount of time and ensures maximum exposure for my work. The best type of work you can do is something you can do once and have it populate around the web automatically.

There are a few more steps I need to integrate into this process, but Im having fun learning it in the meantime and I'm generating much more traffic as a result.

That's really cool. It's a lot more convenient than the youtube way. Is blip.tv really big or just now starting up? It seems next to impossible to be able to compete with youtube, but it definitely seems a lot more user-friendly.

careful though, they booted me off with no warning for being "too commercial"

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the warning… I will be careful what I post and also wont rely upon them. Appreciate you telling me about it!

Hi Jacinda,

Thanks for the comment!

Most of the video sites have their own audiences and are fairly big in their own right, but none are as big as youtube. I use several video sharing sites for my promotion as there are some people on the other sites who may otherwise not see my videos if I just posted them to youtube.

Cheers

Ryan, good on ya for taking action on what I shared. Most people don't and wonder why they don't get the same or better results.

Appreciate you sharing my blog with your fans here!

Tip to readers: Read the TOS from the video sharing sites before publishing your "commerce-only-and-no-value-added-content" videos, that's an easy way to get your account shut down. If you track my Blip.tv account, you'll see that my 60+ videos are value-added, with soft promotions to whatever.

Cheers Ryan!

Hi Sherman,

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the tips about the TOS from the Vid sites. I will double check them myself before I put too much work into building them up.

No worries about sharing… you have a great blog and resource!

Catch you soon,
Gavin

Blip TV can be a great resource. Be careful not to spam it or appear spamming because they do monitor it since it is such an authority site.
