Social Network Internet Marketing Tips

Social Network Internet marketing sounds easy, and in general… it is. Initially, you will find it a little time-consuming. Perhaps much the same way as regular Blogging – at first it seems a bit of a handful.

Here are some Social Network Internet Marketing Tips to help you get in to the flow. Just take on one thing at a time, rather than try to create hundreds of pages in every Social Network Site on the planet.

1/ Create Squidoo Lenses
The format of Squidoo is so simple, you would be mad not to take advantage. It is particularly effective for finding pre-converted traffic.

2/ Get Your Content on Scribd.com

Scribd.com has been making big waves, with large funds being used to push it’s popularity. A place to upload documents in most formats, it is tipped to become a YouTube for ebooks and similar documents. Scribd.com has recently changed their policy. They no longer allow users to add the links inside their documents. I will explain more on this in the near future.

3/ Hubpages.com is extremely effective

The unusual thing about Hubpages is that they are not just another article directory site.

They have some beneficial attributes including the fact they do not use ‘no follow’ links. This means you can write articles with carefully placed links to your web pages. You can also post sidebars on your article pointing to your website, and did you know that your article actually produces income? Hub articles provide more income than Squidoo, so you may find some revenue in the form of a cheque every month is you get busy ‘hubbing’.

Doing quick, easy pages is sufficient, however, if you have a knack for this type of thing, put in the effort and try to become a ‘featured page”, which drives incredible amounts of traffic straight to your site. Flagship Hubs are also very effective as you become an ‘expert’ on your subject. (See below)

When Creating Social Site Pages… Use (where possible)

• Pictures
• Videos
• RSS feeds
• Links to other Social Site Pages
• Links to other sites
• News feeds from news sites
• Link out to your other related sites
• Embed your own, related YouTube videos into your Page.
• Embed your related RSS feeds.

TIP: If you have a blog or other RSS feed that contains related content, you can embed that feed into your HubPage, giving you more traffic to your blog AND generating incoming links.

Flagship Hubs

Use Flagship Hubs in your Social Marketing campaign. If you take the time to do a good flagship hub, it’s very effective for traffic purposes and establishing your reputation in your chosen field.

Try to keep abreast of topics requesting hubs. Early in each month, scan the Flagship Hubs Topic Pool at

http://hubpages.com/help/flagship_hubs_pool

To see if it contains anything related to your topic areas. If it does, you can snatch it up by contracting to produce it. Then place links to your site into the page you produce, pick up your videos, etc. so that part of your flagship page references your existing site(s)

On a regular basis, complete Flagship Hub requests that are from topic areas on your list of possible future sites. These will not only give you experience in these areas, but should also give you indications of traffic and revenues associated with these topic areas.

Nice tips there! I have checked out Scribd and it's really a cool place to share your documents other than just keeping them on your computer's desktop.

Hi unneglectable,

Its great to be back, thanks. I hope you have sorted out your computer problems. They can be a nightmare at times.

Let me know how you get on with Squidoo.

A quick bit of advice. Submit your squidoo page to the social taggins sites to get it spidered quicker. Generally if you just add content to your lense, it wont offer much value back to you. Promote it like you would a normal website and in time it will start to bring in value to your main site.
